Full-TimeOverviewLocated in Melville, NY, the Technical Support Engineer willprovide technical support of large format printers and scanning systems for our Authorized Service Providers,internal Product Divisions, as well as our dealer channel.
Combining your Mechanical experience with somenetworking knowledge to identify and resolve malfunctioning equipment, this is an opportunity to work in an environment where every day is different.
You will resolve technical issues, analyze data, ensure quality assurance and provide excellent customer satisfaction.
Position will work closely with our Field Engineers, planning teams, training teams, and subsidiary operation units.

Responsibilities- Investigate technical concerns and product performance; escalate unresolved issues to development teams- Support the creation of technical documents & videos, training, and report analysis- Ensure customer satisfaction through troubleshooting skills towards resolution- Prepare reports for analytical review and publication- May provide assistance with onsite installations.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline required plus 2-3 years of related experience, or a Mastersdegree preferably in an Engineering discipline.
- May require travel (valid driver's license and acceptable driving record necessary).
Additionally, because this position requires driving for company business as an essential function of the job, must remain in compliance with company safety guidelines and policies- Microsoft Applications (PowerPoint, Word, Basic Excel) and any other Database knowledge skills a plus.
- Looking for a person who enjoys a technical challenge, creative, with mechanical knowledge - Network +, A+, or equivalent MS certifications a plus- Requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds individually and for lifting over 50 pounds assistance may be available.
- Substantial amount of standing, walking, typing, grasping, talking and hearing.
- Some amount of driving required, sometime for multiple hours at a time.
- Occasionally kneeling, crouching, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling and climbing stairs- The worker is required to have close visual acuity with or without corrective lenses for extensive reading; visual inspection involving mechanical / electrical parts, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.
- Working in lab may require wearing gloves, safety glasses.
- The work environment may include a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, exposure to chemicals, lasers, close quarters, narrow aisles or passageways.
- The work environment may include working in highly time sensitive situations requiring quick resolutions.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
