My name is Crystal and I represent The Fountain Group. We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Operations Supervisor for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Melville, NY. Details for the position are as follows:
Job Description:
Provides line management and supervision to assigned employees in order to attain performance goals.
Identifies and corrects performance problems.
Ensures compliance with company policies and directives. Responsible for the daily coordination and scheduling of mechanics toward schedule adherence.
Coordinates manpower and machinery to attain daily departmental requirements as outlined by manager.
Supervises and prioritizes activities of six mechanics in the packaging of safe and effective product in an efficient manner.
Ensures equipment is installed, set up, and maintained properly, and continuously improves production operations by improving safety and quality while reducing costs.
Works crossfunctionally with peers and management to ensure production priorities and initiatives are acheived.
Responsibilities:
Schedules preventive maintenance (PM) task lists and ensures proper documentation to maintain FDA compliant operation.
Troubleshoots mechanical and process failures and suggests resolutions.
Ensures production equipment set-ups are completed in the timeframe required to meet department expectations and efficiencies.
Maintains compliance with Company policies and safety standards, such as Lock Out/Tag Out, good housekeeping practices, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
Promotes and contributes to the team by carrying out responsibilities in a professional manner.
Adheres to all applicable procedures, cGMP's, company policies, and all other quality or regulatory requirements (OSHA, DEA, FDA, EMEA, ANVISA, HS&E, etc.). Ensures all work is performed in a safe, effective manner, and in compliance with the appropriate industry and regulatory (FDA, DEA, OSHA) standards, and Departmental, Plant, and Corporate quality and Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) goals.
