Overview:
Lead Registered Nurse (RN) - Outpatient Surgery - Melville, NYPay:
$45 -$50 per hourShift:
7am - 3pm Overview:
This position is a Registered nurse that performs multiple duties both clinical and administrative.
The role collaborates with the Executive Clinical Director and the physician team to provide care in the procedure room and provides nursing care to an IVF patient population.
This position is responsible for the day to day supervision of procedure room staff (including per diem nurses), and ensuring adherence to standard of care according to the policies, procedures, philosophy, and objectives established by the organization.
In addition, this position works with the Executive Clinical Director to establish and manage policy formation with particular reference to the role, functions, and operations of the department and its personnel in the care of all infertility patients undergoing procedures.
This position reports to the Chief Operating officer.
Education and Experience Needed:
RN BSN preferred; LPN with credentialsNew York RN or LPN license without limitationsWe highly value individuals with expertise in ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies, especially Quad-A.
2 - 3 years' nursing experience in women's health care in a physician's practice required.
IVF experience HIGHLY Skills Preferred:
High level of listening & counseling skills.
Aptitude to work independently and demonstrate good judgment.
Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.
Knowledge of office procedure and office machines (i.
e.
computer, fax, copier, etc.
)Must be able to work weekends and some holidays; flex to satellite offices as needed
Responsibilities:
The individual hired will work closely with the physician team to provide care in the procedure room, recovery room as necessary and nursing care to the patient population.
The nurse leader will supervise the procedure room staff, ensuring they adhere to the standard of care per the policies, procedures, philosophy, and objectives.
The nurse leader will work with the Chief Executive Officer to create and manage policies that ensure all infertility patients who undergo procedures receive the best possible care.
