Work with the EHS team at a Cosmetic manufacturing company on various safety improvement projects.
Manage projects to meet cost, scope, and timeline while also engaging the client Engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to facilitate problem solving and drive issues.
Responsibilities:
Lead meetings with client and vendor engineering teams on introduction of new equipment to the manufacturing sites.
Perform validation trials and identify issues that would obstruct implementation of new equipment and drive them to resolution.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop change control documents and other documentation needed to support implementation.
Use knowledge of Machine design and manufacturing to drive development of custom guarding solution in collaboration with Machine shops and designers to enhance safety of current equipment.
Conduct stakeholder interviews with manufacturing, operations, engineering, and validation teams to get complete alignment prior to implementation.
Prepare SOW for new equipment installation, drive vendor proposals, and coordinate installation, validation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.
Attending meeting with client for discussing progress of project.
Check & certify contractor invoices Manage multiple projects at various stages of development.
Update all the stake holders regarding site status through regular progress updates Perform Active Change Management towards the client or contractors in terms of contract deviations Vendor Management and Punch list management Actively maintain a continuous improvement mindset, suggesting and driving improvements related to efficiency, production, automation and/or equipment design, and downtime elimination Actively interact with all levels of the team ensuring a smooth transition from construction through to full scale operations.
Provide support to selected site while being on-site 4 or more days a week.
Qualification:
Experience in on site project management, packaged goods, consumer products environment.
Bachelors Degree/Masters in Mechanical Engineering, or related field Good communication and management skills Be organized and structured in his works Self-management, self-coaching, skills are essential Excellent communication skills Able to work cross functionally with all levels of the organization Collaborative with a win-win mindset and committed to team success.
Good listener, actively seeking to gather input and understand plant needs Thrives in a team environment High level of ownership and initiative Internally motivated, goal driven, biased toward action.
