Summary:
Assists end users in resolving hardware and software issues by fielding telephone calls and email communication, diagnosing problems and performing troubleshooting activities.
Documents, tracks and monitors the problem to facilitate a timely resolution.
Relies on established guidelines and instructions to perform daily job functions.
Works under immediate supervision.
Duties &
Responsibilities:
Manage Help Desk tickets in a timely manner Respond to customer issues via phone, email and computer cha Provide customer assistance Document customer interactions Run diagnostics to resolve customer reported issues Escalate issues to the next Tier with next level of difficulty Install, make changes and repair computer hardware and software Follow-up with customers to ensure issues are resolved Experience/Skill Requirements:
Ability to conduct research into PC issues and products as required.
Effective interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
Understanding of the organizations goals and objectives.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
Self motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Strong customer-service orientation.
Education/Certification Requirements:
Preferred Qualification:
A+, Network
and Microsoft Certified Professional certifications (preferred) Experience with Help Desk systems (preferred) 2 years Call Center or helpdesk experience (preferred) College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science a plus and/or 5 years equivalent work experience.
