This a hybrid role for our Melville, NY office OR a fully remote role for NYC/Tri-State area.
The Purpose of Your Role:
We are offering an investment advisory professional the opportunity to be a critical contributor to our retirement plan advisory business.
Our Advisors have a proven track record of offering best practice fiduciary guidance and exceptional client service to retirement plan sponsors.
Their expertise supports all aspects of defined contribution (401k, profit sharing, 403b, etc.
) plan management, including investments, plan health, plan design, compliance, pricing, service provider due diligence, and financial wellness.
Non-qualified and defined benefit plan experience as it relates to cash balance plans and traditional pension plans is also helpful, but not required.
Filling this critical role is an integral part of Sentinel's client service strategy and the successful candidate will have demonstrated that they have experience working directly with retirement plan sponsors in the areas of investment oversight and fiduciary governance.
An ability to demonstrate an understanding of fiduciary responsibilities as they relate to retirement plans and the importance of prudent process is critical for the successful candidate.
Our Retirement Plan Advisory Services team works with retirement plan sponsors in a fiduciary capacity.
We do more than provide investment expertise, plan management resources and 3(21) and 3(38) advisory services--we take the time to understand our clients' businesses and relate to their concerns.
Our independent team of credentialed investment advisors follows industry best practices for fiduciary governance when advising clients.

From due diligence, fee benchmarking, and ERISA regulatory compliance to monitoring investments and tracking plan performance, our fiduciary governance services help manage fiduciary risk for our clients while improving overall plan performance for plan participants.

Strategic - Responsible for developing and managing key client relationships.
Deliver excellent service to drive a high degree of client satisfaction and loyalty.
Find opportunities to cross sell and increase revenue opportunities within your client base.
Tactical - Be the day-to-day contact for institutional retirement advisory clients.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
(1) Providing fiduciary and regulatory oversight for assigned plans; (2) Leading fiduciary governance meetings with retirement plan committees and plan trustees; (3) Ensuring that the plan's investment policy is followed and that meetings are documented and all changes are executed in a timely manner; and (4) Reviewing each client's retirement plan goals and recommend adjustments as needed to ensure that each plan is achieving the desired objective.

Easily establish relationships with Sentinel Associates across the organization to understand the products and services/solutions Sentinel offers and foster interdepartmental collaboration.
Retain and grow advisory business by establishing/developing relationships with current and prospective clients and centers of influence.
Serve as day-to-day contact for 50
institutional retirement plan advisory clients, across various client segments - responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
(1) fiduciary and regulatory oversight for assigned plans; (2) coordination/execution of fiduciary governance meetings with retirement plan committees and plan trustees; (3) implementation/execution of investment policy; (4) documentation of process/decisions/meetings and timely execution of approved changes; (5) periodic review of retirement plan goals and plan design; and (6) ongoing client service.
Appropriately identify business opportunities/best-fit solutions for existing and prospective advisory clients.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and conferences, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional network associations, and applying best practices to client and prospects.

Preferred
Qualifications:
Knowledge of/interest in retirement, advisory, and ERISA compliance services 7
years of experience working with qualified retirement plans/institutional investors FINRA Licensed (Series 65 required) Excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills Diligent follow-up skills Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and overall ability to learn and use different software packages What you'll be part of:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
